We headed out about 730am for Camp three and arrived 230Pm. There is a foot of fresh snow. Jong Wu and PD have been breaking trail all morning. It took about 7 hours to get here. The weather forecast has improved for Wednesday so we may go to high camp first.
After a nap we met and it has been decided we will leave for summit at midnight! Almost there.
Monday June 6, 2022
We arrived at Camp 2 safely and setting up for the day. It took us about 6.5 hours, right as the sun is rising. The sun is behind the mountains but it still quite light out. The weather is absolutely amazing. We start on the lower glacier early in the morning so that the snow bridges going over the crevasses are frozen.
We have a good window to summit on the 8th. To summit we will carry only 3 days worth to camp three. We’ll start at midnight for summit and skip the high camp. I trust the Sherpa’s plan as the last two times, we were hesitant and missed the potential summit window.
Sunday June 5, 2022
We arrived at Camp 1 at approximately 6pm. The weather looks good for tomorrow. We’re going to eat, sleep and leave at 1am.
