We started from Camp 1 to Camp 2 today and then made it back down the base camp in 9 hours. The climb from C1 to C2 was on a jagged knife ridge. Camp 2 is a class 5 rock climb on some solid rock. We dropped off gear for summit day to include down suit, 8000 meter boots, ice axes, food and fuel. The tents there are roped right into a cliff and there is barely room to get out and move around much. On both sides it drops well over 1000 feet.
Overall I can describe being surrounded by endless mountains up there bigger than any place else in the world!
